How to play Yamb online

Yamb is a dice score game where you roll five dice, choose scoring combinations, and fill a score sheet. The goal is to maximize your total points across all categories.

Quick start

Create a room and invite friends with a link.
Each turn, roll up to three times and lock dice between rolls.
Pick a category and record your score to end the turn.

Scoring categories

Typical categories include the number rows (ones through sixes) plus combinations like straight, full house, four of a kind, and yamb (five of a kind). Each category can be used once.

Numbers: sum of dice matching the row (ones, twos, and so on).
Two pairs, full house, and four of a kind.
Straight and yamb for higher bonus scores.

Column rules

Yamb is often played with multiple columns. Some columns must be filled top to bottom, others bottom to top, and a free column allows any order. Plan your rolls so you do not block your best scoring options later.

Multiplayer tips

Use the early rounds to secure the number rows for bonuses.
Save risky combinations for your free column when possible.
Track opponents and adjust your goals toward higher-value categories.
